I was woken this morning at 7.30am by Richard telling me that the surf was going off at Borth. I got to the beach at around 9am to find a small wave and the tide still too high really, so I went to Harvey and Johns for a coffee. Harvey and I then drove up the beach a bit to the golf course and went out for a surf there. The waves were 3 foot and being caressed by and offshore wind. Both lefts and rights were holding up better than the ever do at Borth and we had an excellent session. The swell picked up for a bit with some solid 4 foot waves coming through in the sets. I had quite a few really good waves and a good session. Harvey had borrowed an old wetsuit of mine and although he had a good time out there was having trouble geting to his feet quick enough. About as good as it gets surf-wise at Borth.
